PURPOSE:To communicate a regulator and a master cylinder smoothly by providing a retainer having a flange section to a spool valve of the regulator. CONSTITUTION:In a housing 1a, a regulator 30 is juxtaposed in series with a master cylinder 10 through a control piston 18. A spool 32 constituting the regulator 30 is provided with a retainer 33, and pushing force is transmitted through the cross-section 33a at a flange section 33a of the control piston 18 contacting with a flange section 18c. Consequently, pushing force is reduced in inverse proportion to the cross-section at the head portion of the spool 32 when compared with the case where the head portion of the spool 32 contacts directly with the master piston 11 and the like. Even when brake liquid pressure in the master cylinder 10 is missed and the force applied onto the master piston 11 is transmitted directly onto the control piston 18, the pushing force is transmitted with a predetermined pressure ratio to the spool 32 through a retainer 33 thus preventing abrupt increase of regulator liquid pressure. |
