The measurement light is converted to a single-wavelength light corresp. to the measurement item by a grating (23) controlled (24) for reciprocation and rotation. The optical transmissivity of the air layer and the reaction solution is measured optically by this single-wavelength light using a so-called, 'pre-spectral system'. In the optical measurement system, the 'pre-spectral system' converts measuring light to the single-wavelength light corresp. to the measurment item by a filter. The light is radiated before the reaction tube containing the reaction solution reaches the optical measurement position, in order to measure its absorbancy.
