<p>PURPOSE:To prevent gallopping, by twisting power lines of respective phases in a multi-conductor transmission line more than 180 deg., e.g. 180 deg., 270 deg., 360 deg., 540 deg. or 720 deg., between steel towers. CONSTITUTION:Respective lines in a multi-conductor transmission line 21 are twisted and displaced in position such that the twisting angle of a conductor bundle between spans is 180 deg., 270 deg., 360 deg., etc. Since the conductor bundle of the multi-conductor transmission line 21 is twisted differently between spans, twisting motion having important role in galloping generating face is not uniform between spans and thereby twisting period is not uniform. Consequently, conditions for generating galloping are not satisfied.</p> |
