<p>PURPOSE:To easily discriminate an irradiated dosimeter element and unirradiated element by forming a container for housing the element of a material contg. a coloring agent which is discolored by radiations. CONSTITUTION:Among the coloring agents which are discolored by radiations, there are, for example, lead white, basic sulfate, barium chromate, etc., as an inorg. coloring material and there are phthalocyanine blue, fast sky blue, etc. The cylindrical container is formed by, for example, adding 0.1% phthalocyanine blue to polystyrene and molding the same by using a metallic mold. This container exhibits a blue color having a transparent feel. The container turns to a green color and the irradiation of the radiation thereto is discriminated if the gamma ray of cobalt 60 is irradiated by 2X10<3>rad to this container. The container is formed by in the same manner as mentioned above by adding 0.1% chrome vermilion as the coloring agent to the polystyrene and the gamma ray of cobalt 60 is irradiated by 10<6>rad thereto. Then, the container exhibits an orange color first and is discolored to a red after the irradiation. The discrimination from the unirradiated container is thus enabled.</p> |
