<p>PURPOSE:To increase the induced voltage of a revolving armature winding by using three phase windings as a field winding for an AC exciter, subjecting two-phase windings out of said three-phase windings to a short-circuit control and using a single-phase winding as said revolving armature winding. CONSTITUTION:The field winding 2a of an AC exciter 2 is composed of three- phase windings 2a', 2b', 2c'. Out of said three-phase windings, a winding 2c' for one phase is supplied with a DC exciting current, and windings 2a', 2b' for other two phases are short-circuited via a controlling element 3 using a thyristor element. Then, the output of said armature winding 2b and its neutral point is supplied to the field winding 1b of a main synchronous machine 1 via a rectifier 4. In this manner, the field winding 2a and the revolving armature 2b produce mutual amplifying function so that a high voltage is induced in the revolving armature winding 2b.</p> |
