PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of an apparatus using a flexural vibration by constituting a flexural vibrator through connecting two driving legs differing in resonance frequency. CONSTITUTION:A mover 10 for an ultrasonic linear motor has left and right driving legs 11-12 and a connection 13 for connecting between upper ends of said driving legs so as to be formed into an almost U-shaped body. The lower end faces of said driving legs 11 and 12 are in contact with the travel surface 20 and said legs are caused to differ from each other in resonance frequency. In the connection 13, vibration transfer legs 14 and 15 are hung down to a part to be the node of vibration of a flexural vibrator when said connection 13 is regarded as such vibrator, and both lower ends of said vibration transfer legs are connected by a connecting arm 16. Said legs 14 and 15 and connecting arm 16 constitute a vibrator bearing member 17, and both ends of a piezoelectric vibrator 18 are fixed via a flat spring 19 between the central part of the connecting arm 16 and that of the connection 13. Thus, the efficiency in use of an apparatus can be improved, because the vibrator 18 gives vibration by the use of a flexural vibration. |
