The adjuster comprises a linearly movable component (9) with a marker (3) which can be moved along a linear scale. A converter is used to convert the adjusted symptom value to electrical signals, and a memory stores the actual - adjusted symptom value when a sampling pulse is released. Also incorporated in the adjuster is a potentiometer (13) with a movable contact, the adjustment position of which corresponds to the marker position along the scale. The convertor includes an analogue/digital convertor (15-19) in which the potentiometer functions as analogue indicator for the symptom value adjusted on the scale, and converts the symptom value to a corresp. digital value in the form of a digital signal. - At least one event button is used for activation a predetermined number of times when a predetermined treatment is commenced, e.g. a button is pressed once when an analgesic is administered, and is pressed twice when a meal is consumed. Computers (20,21) are used to calculate the number of times an event button is operated. |
