<p>PURPOSE:To produce arbitrary figures, patterns, etc., in arbitrary colors as permanent transparent images in photosensitive glass by using said glass as a base material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive glass is prepd. by incorporating metals such as gold, silver and copper as a sensitizing agent and Ce<3+> as a photo sensitizer oxides of Sn or Sb, etc., as a thermal reducing agent into alkali silicate glass, etc. Transparent coloration of various colors are generated in this photosensitive glass according to the irradiation time of UV rays. This photosensitive glass is used as the base material for the filter and after the UV rays are projected fully or partially on the base material glass, the glass is developed under heating, by which the transparent images of the arbitrary colors and patterns are produced in the base material glass. The color filter made of the glass which has the smooth surface and excellent durability and are capable of forming the arbitrary patterns in the arbitrary colors is thereby obtd.</p> |
