<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of knowledge base generation by constituting a knowledge base indicating the structure (causal relations) of a plant and a diagnostic logic independently of each other and only prescribing causal relations between two values to identify an abnormal state. CONSTITUTION:An abnormality diagnosing device 3 uses a signal whose change is detected and causal relations stored in a causal relation storage device 4 to generate a network indicating the present plant state. Only causal relations between two values are prescribed in the causal relation storage device 4 but it is unnecessary to prescribe which network is constituted as the whole. With respect to diagnosis, the diagnostic logic is extracted from a diagnostic logic storage device 5 in accordance with features of events at the start point and the end point of the network, and the abnormal state is identified by this diagnostic logic, and the identified abnormal state is displayed out by a diagnostic information output device 6. Since the knowledge base indicating the structure (causal relations) of the plant and the diagnostic logic are constituted independently of each other, the efficiency of knowledge base generation is improved.</p> |
