PURPOSE: To devise to prevent disappearance of program or data caused by user's mishandling or the like by enabling to operate writing control electrodes only in process of production and disabling to write in the state of completion by means of UV-EPROM as memory device. CONSTITUTION: A UV-EPROM 1 and a control circuit 4 are mounted on a circuit substrate 2, a write control signal of desired program or data is supplied from a write control electrode 5 to the UV-EPROM 1 with probing or the like, an address but and a data bus are connected and supplied concurrently to a connector electrode 3, and writing into the UV-EPROM is conducted with prescribed procedure. Next, for the purpose of connecting the UV-EPROM 1 and its read control circuit 4, the write control electrode 5 and a shorting electrode 6 are electrically shorted and connected, and then packaging is conducted on the circuit substrate 2 so as to screen the write control electrode 5 from exterior. This enables the memory card only to read the contents of memory through the connector electrode 3, and disables to operate the control electrode 5 from exterior. |
