PURPOSE:To facilitate automation of drill inspection by making a photographed image of the blade edge of a drill binary so as to obtain the inflection point and intersection of the image, and judging whether the blade edge of the drill is good or bad on the basis of the coordinates of the inflection point and intersection. CONSTITUTION:With a drill set at a carrier 1, light from a light source 2 is adjusted in an illuminator 3 so as to be irradiated to the drill. And then, a microscope 4 enlarges reflected light from the blade edge of the drill so as to send it to a CCD camera 5. With respect to an image signal thereat, an image processor 6 extracts an inflection point and an intersection so as to display the shape image of the blade edge on a monochro monitor 7. Image data are supplied to a controller 8 so that an inspection result is displayed on a result display 9 while control data or a processed image is displayed on a monitor 10. Therefore, high general-purpose properties are applied to any shape of the drill, and as well, any defective content can be surely identified, thereby facilitating the automation of inspection. |
