PURPOSE: To obtain a mapping method including oblique observation conversion for a computer controlled video generator by combining computer generation graphic technique and computer synthesis graphic technique. CONSTITUTION: The pixel strings of an input picture are successively and vertically projected to a reference face extended parallel with a main axis and orthogonally to a screen to form object lines for a 1st bus on the reference face. Plural divergent lines are projected from an observation point to respective object lines to divide into 1st bus segments. The pixel ratio of a line part corresponding to the pixel strings of an intermediate image in each bus segment is found out. Then, pixels are mapped on the corresponding line part. Then, plural divergent planes are projected and object lines of a 2nd bus are formed by the intersection of the divergent planes with the input picture. Then, 2nd bus divergent lines are projected form the observation point to divide them into 2nd bus segments. Then, the pixel ratio of each segment is calculated. Then, pixels are mapped to a corresponding part constituting the row of an output image. |
