PURPOSE:To enable adequate fixation irrespectively of the change in the width of the paper to be fixed, by subjecting a heating roll to heating control to a prescribed set temp. selectively in accordance with the width of the paper. CONSTITUTION:When copying paper of, for example, a size B4 is contained in a tray 10 for setting copying paper, a limit switch 11 for detecting the size of the copying paper is actuated and a power source is connected to a temp. control circuit 12 for the size B4, by which a heating roll 1 is heated to a relatively high set temp., for example, 190 deg.C. If copying paper 9b of a size B5 is set in the tray 10, a temp. control circuit 13 for the size B5 is operated by the switch 11, and the roll 1 is heated to a relatively low temp., for example, 170 deg.C. The temp. of the heating roll is thus set in accordance with the width of the paper to be fixed and the adequate fixation is accomplished irrespectively of the change in the width of the paper. |
