PURPOSE:To freely edit images by setting a reference area and a moving area on an original and shifting the position in which the moving area is recorded to a prescribed distance away from the position in which the reference area is recorded. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with an area setting means 15 setting the reference area and the moving area, two types in all, on an original, and an area shift control means 16 shifting the recording position of the moving area a prescribed distance away from the recording position of the reference area. After the reference area is formed, its copying sheet 60 is housed in an intermediate tray 33. The timing when the copying sheet 60 is fed from the intermediate tray 33 is controlled in order to record the moving area: therefore the position in which electrostatic latent images on a photosensitive drum 51 is relatively deviated to shift the recording position of the moving area a desired distance. Thus, even if an area becoming a reference and an area to be moved vary, both of them can be synthesized and recorded on a sheet. |
