PURPOSE:To considerably simplify the constitution and to miniaturize and lighten the titled pick-up by providing a semiconductor laser, a light detecting device and a lens on the same substrate and fitting directly the substrate to a slider. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 10, a surface light emitting semiconductor laser 11, light detecting devices 12a and 12b and lenses 14, 15a and 15b are provided and the substrate 10 is fitted directly to a slider 30. By the constitution, for the light from the laser 11, an optical spot 17 is formed on a recording medium, a reflecting light is light-received by hologram lenses 15a and 15b with the light detecting devices 12a and 12b and a track tracing signal is obtained from the difference in the output. Since the slier 30 is kept constantly at the accuracy of a recording medium and a sub-micron, a focus direction position detecting mechanism is made unnecessary, the constitution of the pick-up is considerably simplified and the miniaturization and lightening can be executed. |
