The method for obtaining a skin equivalent (27) involves preparing a dermis equivalent (24) by mixing contractile cells, a nutrient medium and collagen so as to form a gel which contracts; using this dermis equivalent (24) as a substrate for an epidermis equivalent (26) obtained by sowing with the keratinocytes from an animal or human explant.
