PURPOSE:To obtain a zoom camera which is dedicated to a shutter chance by installing an object distance detecting means, photographing magnification setting means, focal distance arithmetic means, comparing deciding means for comparing with the focal distance range of a zoom lens and out-of-range setting means and driving a driving system. CONSTITUTION:A processing device 1 drives a focusing motor driving circuit 3 by receiving the signal from a focus detection part 2 and moves a lens LF, and an encoder 5 monitors the rotation of a motor and counts pulses. And when the counted value becomes a specified value, the device 1 stops the rotation. The device 1 drives a zoom motor driving circuit 7 to more the zoom lenses LZ1 and LZ2. The position code of an operation part 9 is transmitted to a storage part 10 by encoding with a brush BR and a code plate CD and corresponding focal distance information, the manipulated quantity conversion information of an image pickup lens and the focal distance information of a tele and wide ends, etc., is transmitted to the processing device. An ordinary mode or an automatic mode is selected by an operation part 11. With such a constitution, a user can dedicate to the shutter chance and he can photograph out of range of the focal distance of the zoom lens with the wide end and tele end of the lens. |
