<p>PURPOSE:To use a circuit of a recording and reproducing system in common and to reduce a scale of the circuit by equalizing a video signal with an audio signal, both comprising think data, in their min transmission unit lengths. CONSTITUTION:4:1:1 component signals inputted to an input terminal 10 sample Y, I and Q signals in a data compression circuit 12, so as to reduce the data and then to be supplied to an ECC coding circuit 14 for video signal. Audio signals from input terminals 16 and 18 are sampled and quantized by A/D converters 20 and 22 respectively, and both input data are relisted by an audio interleaving circuit 24 and fed to an audio ECC coding circuit 26. In the circuits 14 and 26, the transmission unit length of the digital video signal comprising the think data is equalized to the transmission unit length of the audio signal comprising the think data, and then they are outputted to a switch 28.</p> |
