A reproducing/recording apparatus for a recording carrier in disc form accommodated in a cassette, with a housing having a slit-shaped opening, a cassette holder, which has an opening aligned with the slit-shaped opening, a transporting mechanism for moving the cassette holder and the cassette located therein between a fully pushed-in position of the cassette and a reproducing/recording position, a reproducing/recording mechanism for the playback mode and record mode of the recording carrier in disc form, resilient components, which are fastened on the cassette holder and come into engagement with the cassette after pushing in and which are moveable back and forth in the pushing-in direction and ejecting direction of the cassette, and stops which limit the back and forth movement of the resilient components, the resilient components coming into engagement with corresponding recesses on the cassette during the pushing in of the cassette and an advancing mechanism pressing the cassette in the direction out of the slit-shaped opening and positively preventing by the engagement of the resilient components in the recesses of the cassette, in interaction with a front pair of stops, that the cassette is ejected completely through the slit-shaped opening.
