Fixing handles on thin-walled hollow frame section - uses nut on threaded bolt passed through hole in frame followed by helical spring washer

The bolt has a plain part (2) and a threaded part (3) with nut (12) carrying on its underside a notch (12b) provided on a conical collar (12a). The hollow section (4) is provided with a hole (21) large enough to allow passage of the nut (12). Subsequently, by pushing the bolt (3) to one side it is possible to bring in by rotation the spring washer (13). For tightening nut (19) is rotated carrying along washers (18) and (14). The neck (16) on washer (14) centres the position of the bolt in the hole (21). Finally the required handle is pushed onto the plain end (2) of the bolt and is secured by a cross pin through hole (7). USE/ADVANTAGE - The method allows fixing of handles on thin-walled hollow section without having to accept visible elements on the off side of the section.
