<p>PURPOSE:To control the rate of sticking of micro organisms on granular solids of 0.1-0.6mm. grain sizes, of which 0.4-0.6mm. grain sizes are 5-50% by suspending said granular solids in a tank, and agitating the solids by gas through an air lift pipe. CONSTITUTION:Sand grains of 0.1-0.6mm. grain sizes, of which 0.4-0.6mm. grain sizes are 5-50% the entire amt. are suspended as micro organisms sticking carriers in a tank and are agitated by gas through an air lift pipe, whereby the sand grains are circulated and fluidized in the tank, and waste water is treated. The granular solids are circulated and fluidized between a circulating part 5 and an air lift part 4 by the air lift effect of the air blown into the part 4; at the same time oxygen necessary for activity of the micro organisms is supplied. The raw water introduced into the tank is subjected to a biological treatment for polluting components by the micro organisms and is separated of the granular carriers in a medium separating part 6; thereafter the water is released as outflow water.</p> |
