PURPOSE:To improve the yield rate of a material, by cutting the material without causing the generation of an error of weight in the cut material, that is, by equipping an arithmetic control unit which determines right or wrong of cutting between the terminal material and its neighboring material in a terminal part of the cut material on the basis of a planned value. CONSTITUTION:A cut material 1 is locked and cut by both a cylindrical lower blade 10 and a flat upper blade 11. While a fixed size stopper 12 provided to the front of the blade 10 is mounted to the point end of a longitudinally movably supported adjusting shaft 13. Then an arithmetic control unit 20 divides a measured total length L of the material 1 with preset cutting size l to calculate size E of a terminal material (e). If this size E is within a specific range, the neighboring material bn and the material (e) are cut, while if the size is out of the range, the material bn and the material (e) are not cut but discharged altogether. In this way, the material is cut without causing the generation of error of weight in the cut material to improve the yield rate of the material. |
