PURPOSE:To use an off-line transaction magnetic stripe also for on-line transaction in common by using data on the off-line transaction magnetic stripe for the on-line to execute the adjustment or the like of balances. CONSTITUTION:An off-line transaction terminal equipment reads out a recording medium 10 recording data inherent in each customer and including the balance of deposit, executes the transaction independently by the equipment itself and records the transaction result in the recording medium 10. An inquiring means 22 in an on-line transaction terminal equipment 200 transmits an inquiry telegram including the deposit balance read out from the medium 10 and the inputted transaction data to a transaction data processor 300. A transaction processing means 31 in the processor 300 updates a deposit data file and executes transaction on the basis of the received deposit balance and sends the transaction result to the terminal equipment 200. The equipment 200 executes transaction on the basis of the sent transaction result and updates the deposit balance of the recording medium 10. |
