Profiled strip for sealing and guiding a retractable vehicle window

The window-seal comprises a profiled sealing strip which has a flexible and resiliently articulated connection (6) between a nip-forming portion (4) which fixes onto the vehicle bodywork defining the window frame elements and a guide portion (5). The window edges (11) are slidingly received in the guide portion. - The profiled strip is formed as a common metallic shape-sustaining core (1) coated over its entire surface by resilient elastomer (2). The longitudinal central fold (3) of the core is severed leaving the portions (4) (5) connected only by the elastomer hinge (6).
