PURPOSE:To exhibit stable development performance independent of the structure of a developing machine without requiring any triboelectrifying means by using a mixture of magnetic toner particles adhering to a large amount of external fine additive particles and particles adhering to a small amount of said particles. CONSTITUTION:The fine external additive particles 2 are allowed to adhere to toner particles composed of a binder resin and a magnetic powder. Each of said articles 2 has a particle diameter of <=1/10 the particle diameter of the toner and a volume resistivity of <=10<10>OMEGA.cm, and carbon black or metal oxides are used for said particles 2. The toner consists of the mixture composed of the particles adhering to a large amount of said particles 2 and those adhering to a small amount of them in a mixing ratio A/B of 3:97-25:75. Each material is properly arranged so that the toner B is charged to a polarity reverse to that of an electrostatic latent image and the particles 2 are charged to a polarity same as that of said images, thus permitting stable development performance to be exhibited, independent of the constitution of the developing machine, without requiring any triboelectrification device. |
