Positions of the movable element (20) are preset by push-buttons through which they are found when a corresponding key is operated. The device consists of a plate (10) with an end wall (11) with several holes on one side, and a corresponding number of bent and projecting plates on the other. The movable element (20) slides on the plate (10), and systems are provided for finding its individual positions. A manual control device (M, 27) sets the movable element (20) positions. A coupling device (23, 26) permits relative movement between the movable element (20) and the manual control device (M, 27). There are several keys to store and find the movable element positions. Their number is equal to that of the projecting plates which hold them. Storage and searching means (43, 54) for the movable element (20) positions interact with search means (21).
