The ski safety binding consists of a U-shaped swivel bow enclosing the rear end of a ski boot and either directly or indirectly connected to the ski. The bow can be swivelled around an axis parallel to the ski surface a and a tipping pawl is located at the rear closed end of the bow, pivoted around an axis parallel to the first. The tipping pawl (5) includes a sole holding tang (3) which is brought into contact with the ski boot sole (1). There is a pre-tensioning spring-biased bolt (9, 10) which keeps the tang of the pawl in contact with the sole of the ski boot. The tang is thrown back against the compressed spring away from the sole when a predetermined force is exceeded. The tang has a cam upper surface (7, 8) which acts together with the bolt tip (9) so that the boot retaining force is greater than the spring force.
|
