PURPOSE: To gradually release a bactericide from an inside coating at a sufficient quantity to keep the inside of a glove practically at the nonexisting state of bacteria and fungi for the prescribed period after the glove is worn. CONSTITUTION: An epichlorohydrin cross-linked corn starch is generally used as the powder applied after a glove is curved, it prevents blocking, and it assists wearing on the inner face of a the glove. Some of the used bactericide has an affinity for the cross-linked corn starch. Excellent bactericidal activity is obtained on the inner face of the glove dipped in the slurry of the corn starch containing the bactericide. The salt of chlorhexidine, or 1,6-di(4- chlorophenyldiguanide)hexane is the bactericide having an affinity for the cross- linked corn starch. |
