<p>The container assembly for the storage and transport of live fish, shellfish etc. comprises a number of separate compartments each supplied with a regular flow of water. The water is processed and re-circulated. It is aerated, filtered and purified before re-circulation, the purification being effected by bringing the water into contact with an absorbent material. Each fish etc., is contained in a separate compartment where it is protected from the light and has a food supply. The water is recirculated by a pump, and each fish is preferably contained in a trough (20) which is received in a tubular container (11).</p> |
