<p>Apparatus for receiving a large quantity of green tobacco leaves in bulk form has an intermediate screen separating portions of the leaves along the entire length of the container and a number of independent support rods for supporting the tobacco leaves in vertical position while the leaves are being cured. The tobacco container is open at one side only during filling and is open at the top and bottom only during the curing process. The appts. is rotated through 90 deg. after filling using a power which attaches to bosses on the end walls of the appts.</p> |
