An insecticide composition is shaped as a briquette and consists of following components, in per cent by weight: peat: 30-47, ammoniacal saltpeter: 27-49, insecticide: 1-15, water: the balance. A method of obtaining the insecticide composition consists in disintegrating the peat to a maximum size of 1 mm, drying it to a humidity of 18-25 per cent by weight, preparation of water solution of the ammoniacal saltpeter by dissolving the ammoniacal saltpeter in water at a temperature of 80-90 DEG C and at a weight ratio between the ammoniacal saltpeter and the water equal to 80-85:20-15 respectively. The water solution of the ammoniacal saltpeter is mixed with the disintegrated dried peat at a weight ratio between the peat and the solution equal to 1.0:0.7-1.7 respectively. The thus obtained mass is then pressed at a temperature of 60-85 DEG C into briquettes dried at a maximum temperature of 60 DEG C to humidity of 14-20 per cent by weight, saturated with the solution of the insecticide at a ratio of 1-15 % of the latter in relation to the weight of the briquettes and then the solvent is removed from the briquettes. |
