In a compressor system, in particular for power units in the field of rail vehicles, a main compressor 1 and an auxiliary compressor 3 are provided with associated air driers 5; 7. The auxiliary compressor of such systems is driven by a battery-fed electric motor 23 and supplies an auxiliary vessel 11 with compressed air; the auxiliary vessel is connected to an actuation device 29 for "applying" a current collector 31 to a contact wire 33. In order to achieve a preferred regeneration of the drying agent of the air drier 7 which is connected to the auxiliary compressor 3, a timed switching device is provided which, after the main compressor 1 starts up, branches off compressed air generated by it from the compressed-air supply of the main container 9 and direct it through the air drier of the auxiliary compressor circuit. <IMAGE> |
