PURPOSE: To prevent a driver from being damaged by the disturbance of a timing signal due to chattering generated at the time of reset or the like by controlling a clear signal for a counter circuit for generating an address signal for a ROM circuit by a refresh period detection circuit and an inhibition circuit. CONSTITUTION: The constitution of the refresh period detecting circuit 15 and the inhibition circuit 16 prevents counter circuits 11, 12 from being cleared during the period of refresh driving. Thereby the circuits 11, 12 are not cleared by the disturbance of a horizontal synchronizing signal (H.D) due to chattering generated during the period and no influence is exerted upon the reading of stored contents from the ROM circuit 13. In addition, the normal operation of various logic signals and panel driving pulse voltage supplied to the driver can be secured. Consequently the damage of the driver at the time of shifting to linear sequential scanning during the period of, refresh driving can be surely prevented. |
