PURPOSE:To produce a fine superconductor of high mechanical strength and of high critical temp. by melting a mixture of specified raw materials containing Y or lanthanides, Ba, Ca or Sr, and Cu at temps. above m.p., and annealing the melt, and calcining thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of oxides,hydroxides or inorg. acid salts of >=one kind of metals selected from Y and lanthanide elements, and oxides, peroxides, hydroxides or inorg. acid salts of >=one kind of metals among Ba, Ca and Sr, and oxide, hydroxide or inorg. acid salt of Cu, is melted at temps. above m.p. Then, the solid material obtained by annealing the melt is calcined to produce the target superconducting ceramics. The raw material used in this invention is weighed and mixed in order that the finally obtained ceramics compsn. coincides with the formula. In this formula, A denotes >=one kind of metals among Y and lanthanide elements, B denotes the group of >=one kind of metals among Ba, Ca and Sr, 0.05<=X<=0.50, 0.50<=Y<=1.06, and 1.84<=Z<=2.97. |
