PURPOSE:To obtain the dense title mortar or concrete having high strength by kneading short fibers, silica fume, water, and a surface active dispersant, and orienting the short fibers randomly and three-dimensionally. CONSTITUTION:More than 100vol.% silica fume is mixed with short fibers (e.g. pitch based carbon fiber), and water and a surface active dispersant (e.g. water reducing agent) are added thereto. The mixture is kneaded for several minutes in a mixer to obtain thus a slurry of short fiber and silica fume. The slurry is added to a mixture consisting of cement (e.g. portland cement), aggregate (e.g. sand), short fiber, silica fume, water and a surface active dispersant, wherein the proportion of water to cement+silica fume by weight is 30-60%. The mixture is kneaded for several minutes in a mixer. Thus, the short fibers are oriented randomly and three-dimensionally, and fiber reinforced cement mortar or concrete is obtd. |
