<p>PURPOSE:To prevent precipitation of solid inside a rotatory body in a rotary atomizer, to stabilize operation of the rotary atomizer and, besides, to facilitate filtration of produced sulfur by supplying gas contg. hydrogen sulfide to gas storage space of the rotary atomizer immersed in an aq. soln. of iron salt together with supplying water there. CONSTITUTION:The rotatable rotatory body 4 having the gas storage space 8 and the rotary atomizer 1 equipped with a gas-supplying port 7 are arranged in the aq. soln. 2 of iron salt contg. iron ion. The gas contg. hydrogen sulfide is supplied to the gas storage space 8 from the gas-supplying port 7 together with supplying water to the gas storage space 8 and the gas contg. hydrogen sulfide is overflowed into the aq. soln. of iron salt from the gas storage space 8 to recover sulfur. The water may be supplied continuously or intermittently and the amt. of water to be used is about 0.1-100mol.% to the total gas flow rate.</p> |
