PURPOSE:To obtain a skin-beautifying cosmetic having high beautifying effect and safety and easily utilizable as a face lotion taking advantage of the water- solubility, by using a solvent extract of REISHI (Fomes japonicus) and/or a residue left after distilling off the solvent from the extract, as an active component. CONSTITUTION:Fruit body or mycelia of one or more kinds of REISHI is extracted with a solvent such as water, ethanol and/or propylene glycol and the extract is concentrated or diluted according to the need. The objective skin-beautifying cosmetic having the above effects can be produced by compounding 0.01-20wt.% (preferably 0.05-5wt.%) (in terms of solid obtained by distilling off the solvent) of the obtained solvent extract of REISHI and/or a residue left after distilling off the solvent from the extract. |
