摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To detect a magnetic field gradient value simply, by a method wherein an exciting coil is provided at the center of a bar-shaped soft magnetic body and detection coils at two ends and the two detection coils are connected magnetically in opposite phase and electrically in series. CONSTITUTION:When a uniform magnetic field is applied to a bar-shaped soft magnetic body 1, the magnetic body 1 is magnetized evenly at both ends. Induction voltage of detection coils 31 and 32 at the respective ends are precisely the same and they are connected magnetically in opposite phase, hence bringing the terminal voltage to zero. In other words, no induction voltage is generated between terminals 31a and 32a under a uniform magnetic field. On the other hand, when a magnetic field having an intensity gradient is applied, a greater induction voltage amplitude is given in the detection coil 31 at the end intensely magnetized. Thus, the terminal voltage of the detection coils 31 and 32 connected in opposite phases is obtained as a difference in the induction voltage of both the coils.</p>
