PURPOSE:To stabilize the quantity of light of a destaticizing lamp at all times so that perfect destaticization is executed by providing a shielding mechanism between the destaticizing lamp and photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:This destaticizer has the destaticizing lamp 11 and a proximate conductor 12 which covers the destaticizing lamp 11 as well as the shielding mechanism 13 which is installed between the lamp 11 and the photosensitive drum 80. Namely, the lamp 11 is lighted simultaneously when a main switch of a copying machine is turned on. A shutter 132 of the destaticizer 10 holds a slit 131a closed at this time. The slit 131a is opened only when the destaticization of the drum 80 is executed. The quantity of light of the lamp 11 is thus stabilized by the simple mechanism. |
