PURPOSE:To aim at stabilization in reforming capacity and improvement in the utilization factor of a cell fuel by installing a bypass flow controlling device, feeding a reformer directly with fuel, and a pilot flow controlling device controlling the fuel of a pilot burner. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detector 22 detects temperature in a reforming catalyst layer 26 of a reformer 5, and feedbacks the detected signal to a bypass flow control circuit 34, a fuel flow control circuit 30 for a pilot burner and a fuel electrode feed flow control circuit 23. Now, when the detected temperature is higher than the desired value, the circuit 34 feeds an amount of cell fuel gas proportionate to a temperature deviation to an auxiliary burner chamber 9, lowering a combustion quantity in a reformer burner 13. And, when the detected temperature is low, a flow rate in a bypass line is brought to zero by the circuit 34, and an increment flow rate proportionate to the temperature deviation is fed to the pilot burner 35. Thus, such temperature control as quickly responding to a temperature change is carried out, so that reforming capacity is stabilized and the cell fuel utilization factor is improved. |
