PURPOSE:To improve watertightness and prevent thermal deterioration by winding a semiconductive thermoplastic resin tape between a cable core and a metallic sheath and by melt-bonding the tape both to the core and the metallic sheath at the time of covering with the sheath. CONSTITUTION:Over a twisted wire conductor 1 are arranged a crosslinked polyethylene insulator 2 and a semiconductive polyethylene conduit in that order. Subsequently a semiconductive tape which has a specific resistivity of 1X10<2>-10<5> ohm-cm and melts at about 200 deg.C is wound over them by half lap and over them is arranged a metallic sheath 4. This makes the tape 3 molt-bond to both the core 2 and the metallic sheath 4 at the time of covering with the sheath, improving watertightness and preventing the core from deteriorating due to heat. |
