PURPOSE:To simplify a console panel and to improve operability by switching the display of a display means from a copy quantity display to a copy magnification display when a command relating to copy magnification is inputted, and resetting the display to the copy quantity display a prescribed time later. CONSTITUTION:When a magnification-up/down key 104 or fixed magnification selection key 107 is inputted on a console panel in quantity display mode, the quantity display mode is switched to the magnification display mode. Namely, it is decided whether or not the quantity display mode is set and when it is judged that the quantity display mode is set, the display mode is switched with the on edge of a magnification key. Further, when the key 104 or 107 is operated, a resetting timer for prescribing the timing of resetting from the magnification display mode to the quantity display mode is cleared and reset newly. The when the resetting timer is cleared, it begins to count again and when the timer counts up, the magnification display mode is switched to the quantity display mode. Consequently, any changeover switch need not be provided, the console panel is simplified, and the operability is improved. |
