PURPOSE:To improve control precision, by a method wherein, in the given running region of an internal combustion engine, when feedback control is effected on a target air-fuel ratio based on an actual air-fuel ratio signal, a constant used for feedback control is corrected so that an NOx signal is adjusted to a given value. CONSTITUTION:An air-fuel ratio control device comprises a means 1 to output a signal responding to an actual air-fuel ratio and a means 2 to decide whether a running region is a feedback control area. A means 3 to effect feedback control on a target air-fuel ratio based on an actual air-fuel ratio when it is decided that it is a feedback control area is provided. In this constitution, a means 4 to output an NOx signal and a learning means 5 to correct a constant used for feedback control so that an NOx signal is adjusted to a given value are provided. This constitution performs normally proper feedback control of a target air-fuel ratio even when deviation occurs to an actual air-fuel ratio signal occasioned by a change with time and an environment change. |
