PURPOSE:To immediately and precisely recognize whether picked-up images tilt or not by equipping an image display means, an attitude detecting means and a display processing means which displays an inclination detected by said attitude detecting means on said screen. CONSTITUTION:A display mark 21 is placed in the middle of the edge of the display screen 24, and serves as a horizontal index for recognizing the inclination of pattern information. For example, if a video camera tilts left downwardly with respect to a horizontal line, a display pattern 22 is moved to a position A' from a position B' and displayed. In order to surely detect the inclination of the video camera, it is magnified in scale and displayed, thereby the subtle hand fluctuation of the video camera can be detected in assuming an angle at which line segments A-A' and B-B' intersect at theta1, and presetting displayed positions of the display pattern 22 and a standard pattern 23 so as to attain theta1=ntheta0 (where theta0 is an inclination and n is a real number within 2-10). |
