PURPOSE:To simply form a signal string by discriminating whether or not the same pattern as that of a synchronizing signal exists in an information signal and an error correction code and inverting at least one bit among bits constituting the said pattern when the same pattern exists. CONSTITUTION:After an information signal from an information signal generating section 1 is added with an error correction code by an error code addition section 2, a synchronizing signal is inserted by a synchronizing signal insertion section 3 to form a digital signal string. The signal string is sent through a transmission line 5 and when the presence of the same pattern as that in the synchronizing signal is detected in the signal string(except for the synchronizing signal portion) by a synchronizing pattern detection circuit 4, '1' is outputted from the detection circuit 4. The '1' output is supplied to a signal correction circuit 6 and added to the bit in the signal string from the transmission line 5. Thus, the same pattern as that of the synchronizing signal is not generated in the signal string in this way. |
