PURPOSE:To obtain the titled efficient roaster for hand-rolled 'CHIKUWA' (bamboo-shaped, broiled fish-paste cake) contriving improved product quality with hardly any labor sufficient therefor, by constructing the roaster so as to carry out a gelatinization step while automatically rotating raw 'CHIKUWA' wound around a bamboo rod by hand together with movement of conveyor chains thereafter. CONSTITUTION:'CHIKUWA' 12 is wound around a bamboo rod (12a) by manual operation in a mounting section (A) of conveyor chains 5 and 6. The resultant raw hand-rolled 'CHIKUWA' is held between an auxiliary axis 9 and the principal axis 11 by pulling the auxiliary axis 9 outward. A pinion 14 is then meshed with a rack 15 in a gelatinization section (B) to move the 'CHIKUWA' 12 which being rotated and simultaneously convert the fish-paste raw material (12b) into a sol by a roasting source 13. The 'CHIKUWA' 12 is subsequently transferred to a roasting section (C) and moved while being slightly rotated by joint movement to form a roasted surface on the periphery. Furthermore, the 'CHIKUWA' 12 is moved to a taking out section (D) and automatically dropped onto a chute 19. |
