The invention relates to a torque-transmitting coupling device having an overload protection. The device comprises an inner ring 1 and an outer ring 2, which are rotatably joined together, and between these a rim 3, fixedly connected to preferably the inner ring 1 and having a plurality of equally divided radial grooves 4, arranged in a star shape, in which pins 5 are slidably mounted. The outer ends of the pins 5 are rounded and located in shallow depressions 6 in the inner periphery of the outer ring 2 and the inner ends of the pins 5 bear against a ring 7 made from polymer material or the like, which ring is strongly resilient and is arranged around the inner ring 1. At a predetermined torque, the outer ends of the pins 5 are forced out from the depressions 6 so as then, after mutual, single-division rotation of the outer and inner rings, to snap into the following depressions 6. <IMAGE> |
