PURPOSE: To bleach a cotton belt at high productivity and yield so as to form a high- quality cotton belt by soaking a cotton belt into a bleaching solution while nipping the cotton belt between mesh conveyors, by performing controlled atmosphere heat treatment in a residence chamber formed by an endless conveyor having a concave arc shape after dewatering the cotton belt and by adding a bleaching solution jet in a half of the residence time. CONSTITUTION: This method comprises bleaching sanitary cotton belts at high productivity and yield by soaking a scoured cotton belt 22 into a bleaching solution by moving it while nipping it between nipping mesh conveyors 5 and 6, followed by dewatering it with squeeze rolls 4 and by feeding it into a residence chamber 7 with a carrying-in conveyor 18, transferring the scoured cotton belt 22 on a concave arc part 13 of an endless conveyor 12 while corrugating it with an oscillating machine and by performing controlled atmosphere heat treatment there while moving it, adding a bleaching solution jet with an injection nozzle 16 when the cotton belt has reached nearly halfway on the concave arc part, i.e., in a half of controlled atmosphere heat treatment time and carrying out the cotton belt with a carrying-out conveyor 19 outside the system at the end of the prescribed residence. |
