The invention relates to a sinker which is painted so as better to merge with its surroundings when it is fixed to a floating line for fishing. Its upper part, pointing skywards during fishing, is darker than its lower part, which is then pointed towards the bed. The sinker may be a small pierced bead or a slotted sinker. The device according to the invention is in particular intended for weighting floating lines for fishing.
