PURPOSE:To obtain an image for medical diagnosis which may be replaced for a film, by a method wherein an image is depicted on a thermal recording sheet in a recording pattern representing the density in accordance with a gradient of an image signal for every pixel by receiving an image signal for displaying an image, and a translucent sheet of a high transparency is employed as the thermal recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:When an image signal for displaying on a CRT display is inputted, an A/D converting circuit 2 samples the image signal from an input terminal 1 in a predetermined pixel unit to digitize it, and it is prepared into data in a dot pattern corresponding to a density recordable in a printer and is outputted. The data is sent to a memory 3 for a temporary storage, and is read out one by one to be sent to a thermal head 4. The image is thermally recorded on a thermal recording sheet 5 in a dot density pattern corresponding to the pattern data, and an image for diagnosis is recorded as a print 5a and outputted. When it is set on a film viewer 6, it can be observed. A good observation in detail of the contrast is possible, whereby an image for medical diagnosis can be easily provided at a low cost in replacement for a film. |
